Me,The Bookworm.
I have always been a big bookworm. When I was little, I made my parents read Dr.Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham so many times I could recite it from memory before I could even read. Then I fell in love with the Magic Treehouse series (anyone else?), and from then on I was hooked.
As I got older I read more and more. On summer vacations when I had nothing but time I would read a book a day. Eventually I got a part time job working in a bookstore, and this only set my love of reading on fire. I started branching out reading new genres and digging into classics. This also brought me to get in touch with the book community.
A couple years ago I started a book Instagram by the same name, Literarily Lauren. I had so much fun creating the pictures themselves, but also talking to other bookworms, and even connecting with some of the authors of the books I had been reading. If you haven't checked out the Bookstagram community you are missing out.
Outside of my book loving world is my other passion, children with special needs. I work full time in a therapy based preschool to support young children with disabilities. It was my dream to get this job out of school, most days i'm still pinching myself.
Otherwise, I am basically a 70 year old woman living in a 26 year old body. I like to bake, go for Sunday drives to the mountains, and out for brunch on the weekends. I think Friday nights are best served in your pj's with a book in hand and coffee is the most important meal of the day.
So, hello & welcome!
Yours Literarily,
Lauren
